Curvy Girl Beauty Advice

At Curvy Girl we know that many of our clientele worry about their body image but we also understand that looking good comes from feeling good. So pamper yourself, learn to appreciate and love yourself – after all, aren’t you worth it? Often our own opinion of ourselves is not a true refection of the way other people perceive us.
One industry secret is to ask three or four people you feel know you best, to give you an honest opinion on what your best bits are. Why not organise a girly-night in? Everyone has a great night and gets a confidence boost into the bargain. You might be surprised at what the results are because sometimes we miss our best assets even when they are staring us right in the face!

Love the Skin Your In

One of the simplest yet most effective beauty regimes is skincare. Look after your skin and it will reward you with that priceless glow that makes you radiate. Start the day with a good exfoliation in the shower, not only will this help remove dead skin cells but it gets the blood pumping and reveals your natural glow, leaving you energised and invigorated.
Moisturizing not only leaves your skin soft and supple but it helps keep those wrinkles at bay. A good moisturizer will leave your skin with a subtle yet sensual scent. Nowadays you can get great products that offer motorisation, sun protection and self-tanning all in one for the ultimate healthy look.
Finally the cheapest and most effective rule to a great complexion is drink more water - you know I’m right!

Salon Style

Good hair is invaluable, not only can it knock years off you but it can make you feel great so invest in a good haircut. Many of today’s styles rely heavily on heated products but there are lots of good treatments out there that can offer protection. Alternatively try a home remedy like freshly-squeezed lemon juice, it work by removing any residues that have built up with other products and helps condition you hair. Simply squeeze on liberally, leave for 15mins then rinse off, et voilà great looking hair that smells good too!

Make-up Magic

Most of us do the same routine everyday day – so if you’re making a mistake you’re doing it daily. Also makeup trends change, like fashion so make sure you’re up-to-date. One cardinal sin is over applying, less is most definitely more when it comes to makeup. Many good makeup artists will mix a foundation with a moisturiser because they are too heavy on their own. By mixing them together you get a nice lightweight yet sheer cover. Choose a moisturiser with sun protection to cut out a step. Next apply your blusher, but only sparingly remember we only was a sexy natural blush not a full on flush! A top-tip for mascara is replace it every three months as it starts to go clumpy which will only make your lashes appear clumpy. Choose normal mascara rather than waterproof as it will not dry your lashes out and will be easier to remove. Keep lips simple and nude with plenty of gloss.
